ANDREW FINCK'S WILL

In the Name of God Amen I Andrew Finck of Stone Arabia District of Palatine, County of Montgomery and State of New York. Farmer. Being of sound mind memory and understanding thanks be given to God therefore and considering the uncertainty of this life do therefore make and constitute and ordain this my last will and Testament. To Wit Principally and first of all I give my soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it. In hopes of a joyful resurrection and being heartily sorry for all my past sins most humbly desiring forgiveness for sane through the hereto and mediations of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my executors herein after named and be willing to leave that worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose thereof in the following manner.

First, I will as I am indebted to my son Andrew Finck to the amount of [blank] pounds that it shall be paid him by my son Christian as soon as he can make it convenient. I likewise will that my son Christian pay the rest of my debts and my funeral charges to be paid by my sons Andrew and Christian.

Also, I give devise and bequeath unto my son Christian Finck and to his heirs and assigns forever all that certain piece of land and Tenament N. 11 containing fifty acres with the usual allowance for highways which I bought from and which was conveyed unto me by Adam Amge the 25th of January In the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and thirty six (1736) N. 7 also Lot N.13 Stone Arabia Pattent land containing fifty acres more or less with the house, barn and every other building thereunto belonging As I am likewise professed of a Lot or piece of land lying between the above Lotts N. 11 & 13 and mile Creek I likewise give and bequeath as much of said Lott or piece of land as fronts or lays between Lott 11 & 13 and mile Creek. Unto my son Christian his heirs and assigns forever. I do hereby devise and bequeath unto my son Andrew Finck to him and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that Lott or piece of wood land N. 15 lying in Stone Arabia pattents containing fifty acres more or less with usual allowances for highways which I bought and which was conveyed to me by Johan Empie the 26th day of Nov. in the Year of our Lord 1752 said Lott of land joining Lott N.13 I do also I likewise give devise and bequeath as much of said Lott of land that lays between Lott N 15 and mile Creek as fronts Lott N.13 down to said Creek unto my said son Andrew Finck Jun. and to his heirs and assigns forever then said Lotts of land lying between N. 11 N13 N 15 as heretofore is described is part of a Lot 22 belonging to Nicholas and Derrick Koppernole I do also give devise and bequeath unto my said Sons Andrew Finck and Christian Finck and their heirs and assigns forever as Tenants in common a certain Lott or piece of land lying in Stone Arabia pattent containing one hundred acres more or less said lot being N.l9 one half of Lott N.19 as to to my step-father Michael Frank during his as will appear by my conveyance to my said step father dated the 30th day of March 1751 I do also give and bequeath unto my Sons Andrew Finck and Christian Finck and to their heirs and assigns forever as Tennents in common to a certain Lott or piece of land lying and being in Stone Arabia pattent N 40 containing one hundred acres more or less. I do hereby and devise and bequeath unto my son Honyost Finck and to his heirs and assigns forever a certain Tract or Lott of land lying and being in Stone Arabia pattent N 10 containing two hundred and fifty acres more or less l also do hereby give devise and bequeath unto each of my six children Andrew Finck, Jun. Honjost Finck Christian Finck Catherine the wife of John Sealy and Margaret the wife of Jacob Acker and Mary the wife of Nicholas Koppernol and to their heirs and assigns forever each one hundred acres of land lying in a pattent granted Henry Glen and ninety three other commonly called Torrey First (or Flatts) pattent the said six hundred acres of land is to be conveyed unto one by my borother William Finck. I do also give devise and bequeath unto my son Hanyost the sum of fifty pounds to be paid him by his brother Andrew Finck Jun. and ChristianFinok provide my son Hanyost settles and goes to live on said Lott of Land N. 10 containing two hundred and fifty acres of Land in case my said son Honyost should not settle and live on said Lotts of Land then in in such case my sons Andrew and Christian are not to pay him the Legacy of twenty five pounds each. I do also give devise and bequeath unto my son Andrew Finck Jun. being my eldest son, the sum of twenty shillings. And to each of my daughters Catherine the wife of John Sealy Margaret the wife of Jacob Acker and Mary the wife of Nicholas Koppernol and to their heirs and assigns forever the sum of forty pounds to be paid them by my son Andrew Finak Jun. and Christian Finck in six years after the decease of my wife Catherine. I do also give devise and bequeath unto my son Christian Finck and to his heirs and assigns forever five working heifers, one cow, one ploy , one harrow, one iron wagon, one slay, my large old iron pot and a complete set of gears? f or the plow and wagon. I do also give devise and bequeath unto my son Hanjost one wooden wagon and as much iron work as will be sufficient for a french plow and Hay and Harrow and my new large iron pot. With respect to my wife Catherine as she is a person not capable to transact any business or supporting herself I will that she shall be decently supported by my sons., Andrew Finck Jun. and Christian Finck during her life 1 do also give devise and bequeath unto my son Christian Finck and to his heirs and assigns forever all the Load Office Certificates that I am profest of I do also give devise and bequeath unto my grandson Andrew the son of my son Christian my small arm fowling piece And as to the residue of my personal estate I give and bequeath to my loving wife Catherine and after her decease to be equally divided among my six children or their heirs and assigns forever excepting my negro woman Anna which is to appertain unto my daughter Catherine the wife of John Sealy after the decease of my said wife Catherine and in case the said negro woman Anna and I hereafter get a child either before or after the decease of my wife the child should appertain unto my daughter Mary the wife of Nicholas Koppernal. I likewise make and ordain my brother in law Henry Loucks and my son in law Jacob Acker to be executors of this my last will and testament. Hereby utterly revoking and disallowing all former wills and Testaments by me made. In Witness Whereof I have unto set my hand and seal the fifteenth day of July in the year of Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six. (15 Jul 1786)
